WHY WORRY WHEN YOU CAN PRAY?

God is more than willing to hear your prayers. He is not in Heaven to store up your prayers and leave them unanswered.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest privilege we have with God when we are trouble is the grace of asking and receiving (prayer). As children of God we have the right to approach our Heavenly FATHER with our prayer requests.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST gave a parable in the Gospel of Luke to encourage those who believe in Him to persevere in prayer and faith against all odds.

Scriptures: Luke 18:1 (KJV)

“Also, JESUS told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward, faint, lose heart, and give up..." (Luke 18:1) AMPC - Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

God is a prayer answering God. He is more than willing to hear our prayers. He is not in Heaven to store up our prayers unattended to, He is not too busy not to help us with our needs.

The WORD of God tells us in 1 Peter 3:12, For the eyes of the LORD are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers” (KJV)

The Scriptures also state unequivocally in the epistle of John,

"This is the remarkable degree of confidence which we as believers are entitled to have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, that is, consistent with His plan and purpose He hears us. And if we know for a fact, as indeed we do that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know with settled and absolute knowledge that we have granted to us the requests which we have asked from Him." 1 John 5:14-15, (Amplified Bible)

God Always Hears and Answers our Prayers

The issue is not whether God hears and answers our prayers, but many times we do not avail ourselves of the privilege of prayer as we should. We get to worry about our needs, problems and challenges and would rather talk to other people about them than talk to God.

Then, when we get to talk to God about our needs, we do so only as the last resort. Usually, because we believe other people's opinion than God's opinion. And/or, we express faith in our problems more than in the promises of God.

It's important you trust God's Heart, even when you can't see His hands.

When we display attitude of distrust and unbelief, it is because we don't see God's hand at work yet in our situation, however, we should trust God's heart even when we can't see His hands. We should consider that God is faithful and truthful to His WORDS. Whatever He has promised us, He will do.

The simple act of prayer avails us the opportunity of fellowship with God and to express our faith in Him. It is the first step in the journey of faith. God welcomes our prayers because it shows we are entrusting Him absolutely with our lives and situations.

So pray and quit worrying. Pray because the acronym for PRAYER is Power Released At Your Express Request. (God is set to release power at your express request) Pray because prayer bridges the gap between Divinity and humanity. Pray now and always, because God always answers prayers.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for Your WORD. Give me a praying heart and attitude. Help me to pray rather than worry. Help to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find help in times of need. Help me, O God, to trust Your heart, even when I don't see Your hands yet, help me to always take advantage of the privilege of prayer, in JESUS Mighty name. Amen.

JESUS REIGNS!
