PRAYING TO GET RESULTS

Effective praying should focus on building a relationship with God rather than relying on rhetorics or ritual. This relationship should be intimate and continually growing, centered on Jesus Christ. Those who draw close to God are not easily intimidated by Satan or his agents.

Prayer requires faith in God’s Word to be effective. God designed prayer to help us access His precious treasures in Heaven and to exercise faith in drawing them into our lives.
The purpose of prayer is to express our love for God and engage in heartfelt conversation with Him. When prayer lacks fellowship with God, it becomes merely a ritual. Effective prayer goes beyond just talking; it is a deep communication with God.
Scripture Reference:
“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart." (Luke 18:1)
Effective prayer bridges the gap between our humanity and God's supernatural power. It connects our weaknesses to God's strength, allowing us to experience His presence, power, and provisions.
PRAYER IS NO FITFUL, SHORT-LIVED THING
E.M. Bounds once said, “Prayer is no fitful, short-lived thing. It is no voice crying unheard and unheeded in silence. It is a voice that reaches God’s ear, living on as long as His ear is open to holy pleas and as long as His heart is open to holy things. The lips that utter prayer may perish, but their prayers continue to live before God. His heart is set on them. Hence, prayers will outlive the lives of those who uttered them; they will outlive a generation, an age, and even the world.
James 5:16 tells us that our prayers can unleash tremendous power, especially in faith, giving us access to God’s blessings. The Amplified Bible states, "The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available—dynamic in its working."
MORE THAN A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS
This description of prayer is not the same as what some refer to as "a little talk with Jesus." Brief prayers of supplication or requests are good, but intercessory prayers and prayers for deliverance require more effort. We must pray until we see change or achieve peace in our hearts that God has heard us. When interceding for others or praying for ourselves, we should be persistent, like Jacob, until the power of God transforms our lives and situations.
Let us pray,
Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for the privilege of prayer. Teach me LORD to pray always, and teach me how to pray. Cause me to pray effectual prayer that is dynamic in it's working, in JESUS Mighty Name. Amen!
