WHEN THE HEAVENS OPEN

The Scriptures give us ideas of what happens when the heavens open. It was prophesied in Isaiah 64:1. There, the prophet Isaiah prayed, prophesied, and cried out to God to rend the heavens and come down. His prayer presupposes the opening of the heavens is synonymous with God's visitation to man.

When the Heavens open God intervenes in human affairs in His capacity as the ALMIGHTY, so that nothing can stop our blessings. He pours out a blessing on us beyond what we can contain. (Malachi 3:10-12) Open heavens also show God's response to our anticipation in faith. Since we reach out to Him in prayers for the manifestation of His Power, He tears the Heavens open and does for us what only He can do. He opens the heavens over us and removes every obstacle to our miracles.

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence—" (Isaiah 64:1) NKJV

WHEN THE HEAVENS KISS THE EARTH

Open Heavens happen when God causes the Heavens to kiss the earth. When He gives us a sense of His Presence, a sense of clarity of His purpose, and a sense of peace that surpasses human understanding. When He submerges us under the influence of His HOLY SPIRIT to have dominion over our lives and circumstances. When He exercises so much influence around us, everyone could notice the changes He brought into our lives. In Acts chapter 2, when God opened the heavens and poured out His SPIRIT upon the disciples of CHRIST in the upper room, the people around saw them as different because the power of God rested on them. They spoke in the supernatural tongues of the HOLY SPIRIT and wrought mighty miracles and great wonders by the power of God.

The key to experiencing what the disciples had in Acts 2 is stewarding what God has given you. The disciples of CHRIST were faithful to God and His instructions. The LORD told them to stay in the upper room for the outpouring of the HOLY SPIRIT, and they did just that. God will meet with you only at where He asked you to stay. If you choose anywhere else outside of the instruction of God, you will miss the visitation of the SPIRIT of God.

GOD CHANGES THE WHOLE PARADIGM OF OUR LIVES

When the Heavens open over us, it doesn't matter the darkness that exists over our city, family, or around us, we will not be intimidated or hindered by the darkness because of the assurance of God's Presence and appearance of His glory over us. Isaiah 60:1-3 explains this better. It reads, "ARISE from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life! Shine, be radiant with the glory of the LORD, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness all people, but the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you." (Amplified version) The experience of the open heavens changes the whole paradigm of our lives. It changes what we’re aware of. There's a shift in our knowledge of what God is doing, instead of what satan is doing in the world. We are conscious that the One Who lives in us is greater than he who is in the world. And, as the awareness of who God is and what He is doing on our behalf increases, we’re confident to pursue higher purposes and accomplish greater feats for God in the world.
