THE POWER OF SHARING YOUR TESTIMONY

The power of sharing the testimony of God's supernatural intervention and miracles in our lives is immense. It helps us to build a defense (the shield of faith) against the onslaughts of satan.

The Scriptures record in Revelations 12:9, "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death".

The Latin root word for testimony is testis, which means “witness.” Bearing witness to God's miracles and blessings in our lives is a display of gratitude to Him and helps us to receive more blessings from Him

Whatever blessing you received from God, He wants you to testify of His goodness before other people, so they can be persuaded to trust Him in their situation as well. When you share the testimony of God's supernatural intervention in your life with people, you give Him the opportunity to replicate His intervention in the lives of everyone who hears it.

Scriptures:

"If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son". (1John 5:9)

Human beings are social in nature, people love to relate and connect with each other. Sharing testimonies about how God supernaturally changed our lives and situation helps us to connect with others who may be going through similar problems that we had.

Shame makes people feel different from others, but by sharing our testimonies openly, we identify with them in their trials and troubles. We give them a sense of community, love, and joy through the power of our testimonies.

SHARING YOUR TESTIMONY REMOVES THE FEAR OF SHAME

Sharing our testimonies with well-meaning people in our community helps them to remove the fear of shame, isolation, intimidation, and condemnation that they may have when their problems are exposed. Identifying with them through our testimonies will give them hope that since God changed our situation, He will do the same in their lives, also.

Allow God to guide you to who, when, and where you should share your testimony. Only share your testimonies when it is complete, and avoid people who loot or try to abort other people's praise reports.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for your WORD and the opportunity to testify of your goodness in my life. I ask that You give me a very resounding testimony this second phase of the year.

Give me the wisdom to know who, when, and where to share my testimonies and by Your WORD and Your HOLY SPIRIT help me to sustain the testimonies of Your goodness in my life in JESUS' name.
