PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM

God wants His children to experience peace in the midst of the storm. On a scale of 1 to 10, He wants our peace to rate high, as much as 10, despite the very stressful and discomforting circumstances we may face.

Scriptures:
"I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) ESV
The LORD JESUS said to His disciples in John 16:33, "...in me you will have peace, but in the world you will have tribulation, be of good cheers, I have overcome the world".
As children of God, our peace should be rock solid high on the Most High God, because He is our peace. The Old Testament refers to our God as JEHOVAH SHALOM. It is the name that Gideon gave to the altar he erected on the spot at Ophrah where the angel appeared to him. (Judges 6:24)
The name Jehovah is translated as “The Existing One” or “LORD.” While Shalom means “whole,” “finished,” “fulfilled,” or “perfected”. JEHOVAH SHALOM means that God exists to make us whole, complete, fulfilled, finished, and perfected. He is our tranquilizer, storms breaker, and peace giver. He gives us peace that passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7, NKJV).
GOD TAKES CONTROL OF OUR SITUATIONS
When situations seem out of control in our lives, He takes control. King David said, "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because You're with me, Your rod and Your staff brings me comfort." (Psalms 23:4). He uses the staff and the rod to remind us of His everlasting faithfulness and love. He gives us peace flowing in our life like an abundant river.
His promise of peace does not suggest the absence of trouble, but His presence in the midst of troubles. Because of His abiding presence, even though we go through serious challenges, nothing in our life gets missing, lacking, or broken.
That’s what His WORD promises us now in this world. Through all the pandemics, conflicts, distractions, and trials that make us feel disturbed and uncomfortable, we have reasons to give thanks to God. His peace in us surpasses the troubles around us.
Let's Pray:
Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for your WORD, I praise Your name for giving me peace, even though there are storms around me. Indeed, You're my peace - my JEHOVAH SHALOM. So, I decree and declare that Your peace rule over my mind, thoughts, will, emotions and experiences. Because You are my peace, I declare that nothing in my life is missing, lacking or broken in JESUS NAME. Amen.
JESUS REIGNS!
