GOD'S COVENANT OF PROTECTION

God is a covenant-keeping God, and He has made a covenant of protection with us. A covenant that He won't break because He keeps covenant with His people.

While Israel as a people left Egypt and was journeying through the wilderness, God protected them both night and day. His protection never left their side. He kept His covenant of protection and provision for them the entire time. He lead them with a cloud pillar during the day and pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). The protection of God also served to navigate the people so that they didn't get lost in the wilderness. God kept them protected whenever they were.

God's covenant of protection is an unbreakable agreement between Him and His children. When you give your life to His, Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, He joined with you as one to support, provide, protect and defend you.

“ Just as the mountains surround and protect Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds and protects His people, both now and forever.” (Psalm 125:2) NLT

Because of God's covenant with you, you can go on in faith without doubting His faithfulness. You can make a declaration of faith daily that God keeps you safe and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

The WORD of God assures us of protection when we are in a covenant relationship with God. He puts us in a place where we are untouchable by the attacks of satan. This doesn’t mean that the enemy won't come against us, but whatever he does, we will overcome him because we are more than conquerors through CHRIST Who loved us.

Psalm 105:8 records, “He has remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations.”

The Secret Place of God's Protection

In CHRIST we are placed in the secret place of God's protection. The Psalmist in Psalms 91:1 calls our safe house the secret place of the Most High and the shadow of the ALMIGHTY.

The people of the world who have not come into a relationship with CHRIST know nothing about God's covenant of protection, although they sometimes benefit from the universal grace of God. Whereby He protects both the righteous and the sinners because of His love for all His creatures.

If the unsaved in the world wish to come into God's covenant of protection they have to come through the precious Blood of JESUS by being born again.

Ephesians 1:7 tells us that "...in CHRIST we have redemption through His blood even the forgiveness of sins".

After the unsaved people have been saved by grace through faith, they can benefit from God's covenant of protection through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. As they continue in obedience to the WORD of God and the revealed will of God, they are protected always in and through CHRIST.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for Your WORD. I thank You for Your covenant of protection in CHRIST. I hide under the Blood of JESUS where the devil can do me no harm, I thank You now and always that I am protected by Your covenant in JESUS NAME. Amen.
