FAITH OR FEAR - WHOSE VOICE ARE YOU HEARING

The WORD of God tells us that faith and fear cannot co-exist. You cannot stand on both sides of the fence, nor can you stay in the middle of the "faith and fear road". It means you stand for nothing. And, he who stands for nothing will fall for anything.

Faith is being "certain of what we do not see. Fear is being certain of what we do see. Faith is complete trust in God and His promises. Fear is rooted in doubt and unbelief. It says God does not mean what He says. The fact that He promised us, doesn't mean He will do it. Fear suggests to us that we cannot count on God's WORD. We've got to have an alternative to what He says, in case His promises fail.

Scriptures: Hebrews 11:1 (New King James Version)

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen...". (Hebrews11:1)

Faith is the absolute belief that God is constantly working on our behalf. Even when things look bad, He is still working behind the scenes, working all things, (the good, the bad, and the ugly) together for our good. In every area of our lives, He is working, even when there is no tangible evidence that He is working.

If you entertain fear, you will not be able to realize the blessings that God has for you or ascend the height that He has chosen for you. Fear will make you forget God's past mercies, favors, and victories. It would cause your sense of appreciation to depreciate. You will become ungrateful and unthankful. Fear will make you disregard God's great deliverance and help.

FAITH SAYS GOD WILL KEEP HIS PROMISES

Faith says God cannot lie. He will keep His promises to us. Fear says you cannot totally rely on God's WORD. Fear is doubt, unbelief, or weak belief in what God has said. As a doubt, unbelief, and weak belief gain ground in your mind, will, and emotions, fear takes over.

FAITH IS THE ANTIDOTE TO FEAR

Faith is the antidote to fear. It sets us free from anxiety, worries, panic, and fear. When we choose faith over fear, we choose life over death and victory over defeat.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for Your WORD today. I choose to listen to the voice of faith always. I silence the voice in my mind and heart. I choose faith over fear, doubt, and unbelief. Faith in God gives life, so I choose life over death. I triumph over all the works of satan that are arraigned against me and my family in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. I declare that I am more than conquerors through CHRIST Who loves. I walk by faith and not by sight. I decree and declare that I have victory always in JESUS’ name. Amen.
