A NEW BEGINNING

God wants to give you a new beginning and a fresh start

The book of Genesis is called the book of beginnings, (In Hebrew it is called Bereshit) referring to several beginnings that took place when God created the earth. It is a beautiful way of God showing us that what He did before in our lives, He would repeat it.

It is also His way of telling us He is ever ready to forgive our sins, renew our heart and mind, restore our health, rejuvenate our lives and give us a new beginning if we turn from our wrong ways of living and ask Him for a fresh start.

Scriptures:

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light". (Genesis 1:1-3)

DON'T BE HINDERED BY YOUR PAST

God does not want us to be hindered by our past. Even it seems like we are locked into our past wrongs, failures, disappointments, habits, attitudes, and lifestyles when we come to Him in total surrender, He will deliver us from the past and help us to experience new things.

2 Corinthians 5:17 records, "If anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creature, the old is passed and the new has come."

If all the while you are used to being negative, God will make all things positive in your life. Here is what He says in Isaiah 43:20 -23, reading from the Message Bible,

"This is what God says, the God Who builds a road right through the ocean, Who carves a path through pounding waves..., Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out.

Don’t you see it.! There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’—the coyotes and the buzzards—Because I provided water in the desert, rivers through the sun-baked earth, Drinking water for the people I chose, the people I made especially for myself, a people custom-made to praise me. Yourself and everyone around you, God will give you a new perspective and transform your life".

This is what God is set to do for you, to give you a fresh start and make all things new in your life. (See Revelation 21:5)

Let's Pray:

Heavenly FATHER, I thank You for the joy and opportunity of a fresh start with You. I break free from everything that ties me down to my past. I embrace Your blessings of new beginnings now in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
