THE POWER OF GOD'S COVENANT

God has given us a guaranteed covenant in CHRIST. It is called the everlasting covenant. It lasts through time and eternity.

No matter what situation we go through in life, God's covenant overcomes all of our life's troubles and gives us victory all the time. The devil may suggest otherwise to our mind, but we renew our mind in God's WORD (Romans 12:2) and stand with the revelation of God.

“Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not [g]utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail. My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David: His seed shall endure forever,” NKJV.”

The effect of God's covenant in the life of the children of God is such that makes people wonder how life works in their favor. Even when they go through the most difficult times in life, they are confident that God will work every situation for their good because they love Him and they're called according to His purpose.

Because of God's covenant, believers in CHRIST can think well, (have a sound mind), live well (enjoy God's provisions through CHRIST), do well (by walking in love and other fruits of the Spirit), and perform excellently in their endeavors (by working in the Power of God through the manifestation of the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT).

As followers of CHRIST, people are drawn to our LORD and us because of the fragrance of the life of CHRIST in us —intrigued by the fact that we have freely what they wish to have at any cost, which is the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding.

“How do you do it?” they ask. “What is the secret of your joy and unending happiness?" "Why do you always smile, even when everyone looks down and stressed out?"

Well, the answer is not far-fetched. The secret is our covenant relationship with God. We know how to stay on God and stay through with Him. No matter what the enemy brings our way, we are more than conquerors through CHRIST Who loves us. And, we can do all things through CHRIST Who strengthens us.

We believe in the Covenant keeping God and have decided to keep a covenant with Him. We choose His covenant over all the lies that satan and his hosts of darkness are spreading around the world. We choose to believe the WORD of God over the schemes and deceptions of satan.

Our blessings in life are the results of the covenants of God. Hence, He relates to us at different times by His covenant names. Such as;

* El Shaddai (The LORD God Almighty)

* El Elyon (The Most High God)

* Adonai (The LORD Master)

* Yahweh (The LORD Jehovah)

* Jehovah Nissi (The LORD My Banner)

* Jehovah Raah (The LORD My Shepherd)

* Jehovah Tsidkenu (The LORD My Righteousness)

* Jehovah Shalom (The LORD My Peace)

* Jehovah Rapha (The LORD that Heals)

* Jehovah Shammah (The LORD Is There)

Since the creation of man, God has related to different generations of people by His covenants. For example,

1. Edenic covenant.

2. Noahic covenant.

3. Abrahamic covenant.

4. Mosaic covenant.

5. Levitical or Priestly covenant.

6. Davidic covenant.

7. The New Covenant in JESUS CHRIST.

Everything that God does for us now in this dispensation is because of His covenant with us in CHRIST — it guarantees answers to our prayers (1 John 5:14), the supply of all our needs according to His riches in Glory (Philippians 4:19), our protection and safety (Psalms 91:1-16), our healing and health (3John 2)

No matter what we go through, God's covenant assures us of victory all the way. No matter what people say, God's promises stand for sure and it is an anchor to our soul.

Let us pray,

Heavenly FATHER, we thank You for the Covenant we have with You in CHRIST. We choose to live and walk in Your Covenant. We understand that if we would enjoy the benefits of Your Covenant, we have to walk by faith. So, we choose to trust Your promises in Your WORD. We refuse all the lies of the devil and his propaganda in the world and stand on the side of Your Covenant in CHRIST.

Despite what is going on around us and in the world, we declare boldly Your covenant promises to us, and by faith, we call the things that be not as though they were in JESUS' NAME. Amen.
